Hunterston site stakeholder group
As a key player in the local communities in which we operate, British Energy continues to place great emphasis on engaging local stakeholders and encouraging open dialogue. At Hunterston, British Energy and Magnox North hold regular joint meetings with local people, media, council and emergency services representatives and local politicians to ensure a healthy dialogue with our neighbours.
Meetings are held three to four times a year in a public location, rotating between West Kilbride, Ardrossan, Fairlie, Millport and Largs and at different times of the day. Notice of the meetings is posted in the Largs and Millport Weekly News and the Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald about two weeks prior to the event.
